Client Brief

Bunkhouse studios is a creative space that offers fully designed/themed set rentals for photographers, videographers, and content creator.

The studios primarily caters to the needs independent film makers and creatives, but also has the space to accommodate large scale feature film productions.

The client had no specific direction, and I was trusted with full creative freedom to brand Bunkhouse Studios.

Creative Objectives

When crafting the Bunkhouse word mark, I was inspired by the heritage of Hollywood film making. With Hollywood recently taking notice of the NM film industry, I wanted to tap into the romantic aesthetic of retro Las Angeles/Las Vegas lettering as to inject that legacy into this brand.

Many of these retro logos feature hand lettering, resulting in a timeless charm— For Bunkhouse, custom lettering is a must.

As for color, I wanted to juxtapose elegant hues with tough monochromes. I intend for Bunkhouse to be perceived as a premium creative space while giving a nod to the urban warehouse it lives in.
